Arts Development Team (East Riding of Yorkshire Council)
The Arts Development Team develops the community arts programme for the East Riding of Yorkshire council. We support community groups and organisations by providing grants to deliver activities that are not currently delivered by other providers. We work closely with the Early Music Festival to deliver the education package that accompanies the festival. We deliver a series of classical concerts in the East Riding, part funded by Orchestras Live, which enables community access to quality music. We are the budget holder for the Youth Music Action Zone for this region giving opportunities to young people who wouldn’t normally have the chance to access this type of musical activity.

Beverley and East Riding Early Music Festival
Annual festival of early music including professional concerts, workshops and educational programmes. The current educational programme for the 2021 festival has already been completed in March 2021, which was centred upon a livestream performance to schools of The Story Orchestra by musicians of Eboracum Baroque.

CASTAWAY GOOLE LTD (CASTAWAY MUSIC THEATRE)
Believing in the power of music to transform lives, Castaway-Goole provides music theatre opportunities for adults and young people with learning and multiple / complex disabilities and autistic spectrum conditions in Goole and the surrounding rural areas of the East Riding of Yorkshire. We run weekly performing and workshop groups for c 90 adults and young people in music, drama, dance, film and multimedia (online and F2F).
Engagement with young people is through Castaway Youth Theatre (8 – 18 year olds) and Music Transitions groups for 14 – 25s with SEND in Goole (Young Musicians Sloop Group) and in Beverley, with music leader network and training (funded by Youth Music). In addition Castaway Creative Transitions (NLCF) supports young people 16 – 25 taking music / arts pathways into adulthood. We are a Trinity Arts Awards Good Practice Centre / Arts Awards Champions. We have ERMOS (Non-Sport 014) and HEY SMILE registration as a provider of youth activities.

We are helping young people to develop their musical talent and ability to perform in public. The competition is judged by well-known musicians including the Music Director of Hull Phil, Senior Lecturers Hull University, Leeds College of Music, and professional musicians form the Theatre Music world. These give spoken and written advice and encouragement. We run two streams 1. For those in classical training. 2. For those with interest in contemporary and popular music. Our schools day gives opportunity to not only perform their own programme to listen and learn from other schools who take part.

City of Hull Band
On formation of the band in 1989 the three main principles on which the band was founded were as follows.1 To promote the profile of the brass band movement. 2 To encourage and assist youth participation in brass banding. 3 To be ambassadors for Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire. From this it can be seen that as an organisation we look to the future for the continuance of what is a significant musical movement within both the country and area. We actively encourage youth participation in Brass playing by supporting local schools, being an active member of the Hull Music Hub and giving concerts aimed at inspiring youth participation. Having considered the question on several occasions we believe that forming partnerships, supporting and working with other local musical organisations is more beneficial long term than forming our own youth band. We have in recent years had 5 members of the organisation progress to the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain. City of Hull Band are active members of the Brass Banda England “Bandsafe” safeguarding scheme.

Driffield Silver Band
Driffield Silver Band is from the Market Town of Great Driffield in East Yorkshire. We are a versatile group of musicians of all ages who have a progressive style towards music. Friends of the East Riding Youth Orchestras
The Friends of the East Riding Youth Orchestras is a registered charity set up over 56 years ago to raise money to benefit all members of the various orchestras and ensembles of the East Riding Schools' Music Service. Run by a committee of volunteer parents/carers who have or have had children in an ensemble or orchestra, we raise funds by subscriptions, sponsorship and events such as Jazz Concerts, coffee mornings, cake stalls, raffles, tombolas, supermarket bag-packing, busking, and market stalls.

Howdenshire Music Project Group
The group has been set up to:
- Make available classical and other music for the public at no cost;
- Purchase a grand piano for use in concerts and as an educational facility;

Humberside Police Concert Band
The band consists of around 25 musicians who are police volunteers. The band undertakes a number of engagements throughout the year. Live Music Now
Live Music Now NE is responsible for the delivery of work across East Riding, we work to develop strong local partnerships with health, education and cultural organisations to ensure that our work is sustainable and relevant to local need. The early career musicians, who are based locally, are trained to develop their professional musical skills to connect and communicate with those who have little opportunity to access live music. Annually we reach over 23,000 people across the Yorkshire region. Live music inspires and enriches life, but too many people are denied the opportunity to experience it.
Given the proven role that music can play in supporting young people’s wellbeing and mental health, music delivery is needed now more than ever and we work with partners to deliver a range of musical activity in special schools and settings. We work in partnership to deliver creative music projects, participatory concerts and professional musician residencies - alongside a rage of digital resources and online activities.

Music and the deaf
Music and the Deaf is a unique national organisation that is entirely dedicated to opening up music opportunities for people of all ages and with any level of deafness. Music education for deaf children and young people is one of our key areas of work. We do this by providing:
- Practical music workshops led by highly specialised music leaders using musical instruments, singing, signed song and music technology.
- Training courses for music educators which include accessible tips, strategies, teaching approaches and deaf awareness.
- Consultation, advice and support for Music Education Hubs to help them develop access for deaf young people to participate in instrumental/singing lessons and ensembles.
- Awareness talks and presentations for conferences.
- Collaboration with Music Education hubs to run joint music education projects.
