WIRED free online course

As part of Yorkshire Sound Women Network's Youth Music funded WIRED project, our online music technology club is a free six-week course led by sound artist and podcast producer Jo Kennedy.

Open to girls, young women, non-binary people and other marginalised genders aged 11-18 years old and living in Yorkshire (including North/North East Lincolnshire), the course starts on Tuesday 5 July and will be delivered over Zoom.

Participants will learn about making audio recordings, editing them together and creatively using other sounds in an audio piece. By the end of the course, they’ll have created a mini podcast episode on a topic of their choice.

No experience is necessary; participants will need a mobile phone for recording, and a laptop or desktop computer to attend via Zoom, and carry out sound editing work.
