Teaching Music with Garageband for iPad: Community Edition
Tranformance Music based in North Yorkshire are providing this resource for teachers, parents and carers who want to make music and get creative over the coming months. Click and watch the video to get an overview of what is inside the textbook, then begin with the ‘Hello Garageband’ video and lesson plan. 7-10 year olds will need adult support, older children will be able to complete the projects alone.
The resource is available free, or you can make a donation to help continue their work.

Each includes a Ten Pieces film to watch and enjoy and a linked creative activity that can be completed by children at home without any special materials or preparation. These free online sessions are suitable for grades 1-3. Gain an understanding of the building blocks of music. This course is equivalent to Grades 1-3 of the ABRSM graded theory exams and allows you to test your understanding as you work your way through the course by answering simple multiple choice questions.
